La Camarette

A 17th century Provence style farm, owned by the Marquis de Camaret since 1800, the property has been bought in 1960 by the Gontiers. Located at the Mont Ventoux foothills, main mountain in Provence, the estate is implanted in the old capital of the Comtat Venaissin: Pernes Les Fontaines. This village is famous for its 42 fountains all remodeled.

During the 19th century, the property has welcomed silk warm and vegetables productions. Around 1960, Fernand Gontier has created a vines nursery. His son, Pierre Gontier, has taken over the business and has developped the production of grapes and his own winery in 1993. He produces AOC Ventoux wines and also Vins de Cépages.
In 2004, the third generation is coming with Nancy Gontier, the second daugther of Pierre Gontier. She takes over the wine business in 2004 and creates with her husband, Hugues Marrec, professionnal Chef, an oeno-touristic activity with two beds and breakfasts and a restaurant.
In 2010, the oldest sister, Alexandra Gontier, decides to come and join the family business to improve the sales in the new tasting room.
In 2011, the two sisters have decided to start a conversion in Biologic Agriculture for the all Estate.
